One of the members contributed a beautiful spring bouquet of flowers which was placed beside a large photo of Beloved Baba. The scent of the flowers and the cheerful look of them added much to the festive occasion.

The program for the evening consisted of: first, Baba's discourse on the subject "Evolution of the Soul," and a talk on the Masters who have reached the Goal and become consciously One with God, with special emphasis on our Master, Meher Baba, the One whom we believe to be the Avatar of this age. The Birthday Message sent by Baba and a poem by Malcolm Schloss was read, followed by a period of silent meditation. During the meditation, two of those present saw a vision of a white-clad figure which they thought might be that of Baba, sitting in an otherwise vacant chair. There was a very happy uplifting atmosphere surcharged with the feeling of his Presence and his Love felt by all. After the serving of a delicious birthday cake baked by one of the members, and other refreshments, the Group enjoyed reminiscing about Baba and their experiences and contacts with him, and were reluctant to depart.
