Universe sprang into being for the sake of Divine Love; out of it was it created; because of it does it endure. Through it will it regain its source."
Love—loved for love's sake—is the Element of God that is in everything.
God is our first and last love.
"Love God, then in turn shall you be able to love man."
Human love should not be despised even when it is fraught with limitations. It is bound to break through all these limitations, but bear in mind that the highest aspect of human love is not the highest aspect of Divine Love.
"When the individual realizes the perfection of human love, he might be said to be ready to be initiated into the final state of Divine Love, where there is no duality. Human love is the equivalent of the Truth in the world of manifestation and Divine Love is the Truth itself."
"Every human relationship is based on love in one form or another and endures or dissolves as that love is eternal or temporal in character. Marriage, for example, is happy or unhappy, exalting or degrading, lasting or fleeting, according to the love which inspires and sustains it. Marriages based on sex attraction alone cannot endure; they lead inevitably to divorce or worse. Marriages, on the other hand, which are based on mutual desire to serve and inspire, grow continually in richness and in beauty and are a benediction to all who know of them."
"To lead men and women to the heights of Realization we must help them to overcome fear and greed, anger and passion."
"Do not mistake Lust for Love. Lust is the lowest, most distorted form of love. In lust—the sole reliance is upon the quarry of the senses with consequent subordination of the soul. The sensualist is virtually anchored to the prey of his lust. Love, however puts the soul in direct and reciprocal touch with the Reality that is behind and beyond form. Lust therefore may be called an experience heavy with the weight of its own corruption, while the exhalation of love seems to lend wings to the participants. In lust there is a decaying of life; in love an expansion of being.
