Announcing . . .

If you think back and ask yourself, "How did I first hear of Baba? How was I drawn to Him?" the chances are it was through someone who told you of their own experiences of Baba. That is how the Master's message of Love is spread from heart to heart.

Because the Awakener is dedicated to this purpose, we are inviting all our readers and friends to send in manuscripts telling of their own thought, feelings and experiences of Baba. Suggested titles: "How I Met Meher Baba"; "What Meher Baba's Teachings Mean to Me"; "A Baba Anecdote"; "Meher Baba As I See Him"; etc. Photos illustrating your story are welcome.

The contest closes September 1, 1959. The first Prize will be a 9x12 Hand-Colored Photo of Meher Baba, blessed by Him. Second Prizes, Bound Volume of the Awakener, or "God Speaks," as preferred. Third Prizes: A Year's Subscription to the Awakener, or Baba Photo Jewelry, as preferred.

Manuscripts will be judged not so much on literary style but on originality, sincerity and freshness of approach. So pick up your pens and get busy.
