"We may not know, we cannot tell
What pains he had to bear
But we believe it was for us
     He hung and suffered there."

And we too must believe it!

It is clear as we follow this New Life phase, that the life of complete Santayan (surrenderance) was to be practiced all the time in daily life, not in retirement or retreat. Ultimately, Baba decided to take Eruch, Pendu, Gustadji and Baidul with him for four months from October 16th, 1951, onwards. Two were taken for three months only― Minoo Kharas and Dr. Dowlat Singh.

All those who were present and witnessed the Declaration were asked to fast for 24 hours on tea and water beginning from 8 a.m. on October
