with him! So this was the direct answer to my query, straight from India! Some weeks later, I again saw my friend and told him what had happened, and that I felt my whole life was changed and that I must go to India. He remarked, “This is very interesting; you experienced indirectly what some experience when they meet Meher Baba for the first time."
For several months afterward, there were moments when this warm loving current seemed to pass through me on to others. It did not belong to me, but came from an outside source. I was but a channel. I have not felt it since, but I know for certain that this divine energy of Love Essence is going to change the world. What else could bring about the universal Awakening of the Heart, so sorely needed, if humanity is to survive its present impasse? Meher Baba has said that the New Humanity will come into existence through a release of Love in measureless abundance, and this release of Love will come through the spiritual awakening brought about by the Masters. Let us believe him.

Baba arrived in the camp at 8:15 a.m. and after his preliminary meetings with the close Mandali and the management, He arrived in the Meeting-pandal at 9:05 a.m.
Godavari Mata (the renowned lady-saint of Sakori now in charge of Upasni Maharaj's Ashram) also came along with Baba in a separate car and she was seated on another upholstered chair on the dais to the right side of Baba. She was accompanied by two of her close disciples or nuns. As usual, the proceedings commenced with the opening Arti (devotional song) on Baba by the Gujarati and Andhra group.
Baba at first made inquiries of those who were ill. "In the first week, I introduced Godavari Mata to all the Sahavasis, and I now want to introduce her to you all. I want to tell you all something of her greatness. Eruch will now read out the points I had told the first group."
