for the spiritual welfare of humanity, some time before He enters into the final samadhi or lays aside His body. Certainly every God-Realized person who has regained the consciousness of the universe possesses great powers; but the Chargeman gets from His Master, some time before the Master gives up the body, the extra powers of working for the spiritual upliftment of the world. Shri Krishna, Lord Zoroaster, Lord Buddha, Jesus the Christ and Hazrat Mahomet were each the Chargeman of His respective Master.

. . . "Yazdan Shri Meher Baba being the Chargeman not only of Hazrat Babajan, but also of His Holiness Upasni Maharaj. has already been the recipient of those extra powers from both His Masters. He has had two Masters and has been the Chargeman of both. In the history of spirituality, only the cases of Shri Datta Maharaj and Hazrat Gows Ali Kalendar resemble that of the Divine Lord, Shri Meher Baba; for each of them had more than one Master and each was the Chargeman of all His Masters."

"The Walis* do nothing contrary to the will of the Pirs, ** and the Pirs invariably carry out the wishes and commands of the Sadgurus. It therefore follows that very great events in all the three worlds are generally the outcome of the wishes or commands of Sadgurus. On one occasion our beloved Master said: 'In the Avataric periods, the Avatars do immense good to mankind by merely directing the Pirs. The Pirs then make spiritual upheaval in the subtle world, and the Walis, who are under the influence of Pirs, accordingly make upheaval in the gross world.' So you see, the Avatar starts the push in the mental world, the Pirs direct this push into the subtle world, and Walis direct this push into the gross world"
