Moreover, forms of Impersonal Meditation are mostly disciplines for the mind or the intellect; but the forms of Personal Meditation are not only disciplines for the mind or the intellect but also draw out the heart. In spiritual perfection, the mind and the heart have to be both fully developed and balanced; therefore, Personal Meditation, which helps the development and the balancing of the mind and the heart, has special importance. Impersonal Meditation is really fruitful and effective, when the aspirant has been duly prepared through forms of Personal Meditation.
