Dear SISTER in Baba,
As per instructions from Meherazad, I am sending to you hereunder a brief report on the opening of "Meher Baba The Awakener" stall at the International, Tourist Fair 1967, Bombay. Both the report and photo prints are meant for publication in your esteemed journal, so that Baba lovers outside Bombay, especially your readers, may also witness and know about Bombay Center's activities, especially in regard to the spread of Beloved Baba's Universal Message of Love and Truth, and feel happy and encouraged to do something of the kind in their area.
It will not be out of place to state here as to how the idea of a "Baba Stall" originated. Firstly the undersigned came across a reference in the Family Letter of 1st of September, 1967, wherein a full description was given as to how Baba lovers in Canada with great devotion and labor took part in Montreal's Expo 67, with a view to spreading Beloved Baba's message of Love and Truth to the people coming from all over the world to see this great exhibition.
Secondly, in the same Family Letter, there is a reference to what Meher Baba is said to have stated, viz., "Whatever we would do to proclaim His Message to others, we should do it now; that the time for the breaking of His Silence is fast approaching, and when He gives the Word, there will not be the need for His lovers to give His Message to the world - the breaking of His Silence will proclaim to the world the manifestation of God on earth."
Whilst explaining in Gujarati the above-mentioned "Family Letter" to Baba lovers of Bombay Center at one of the weekly meetings, it was sorely felt that the Bombay Centre Baba lovers had not done anything concrete so far, as had been done by Baba lovers in other parts of the country and in the West.
