There are other experiences. I recall the time when Baba took us to the village of Sakori . Sakori is the village where the late Perfect Master Upasni Maharaj lived and dropped his body. We spent a delightful day there, again a historic day. Godavri Mai, the women, the people there were so filled with love. We had a meal with Baba in an upper room. Again, I could only think of a meal with Jesus in "the upper room". Finally, before we were to depart, we went to a large room on the ground floor. At one end of this room, the body of Upasni Maharaj is entombed. Before leaving, everyone was supposed to go through their custom of bowing down and touching the forehead on a long flat stone at Upasni Maharaj's Samadhi, were his body lays. Well, some of the men had already done this, and my turn was coming up. At that time, I did not fully realize the significance of Upasni. Now, I would have no qualms about it, but at that time the thought crossed my mind, Have I come half way around the world to bow down to strange Gods?' Quick as a flash, Baba moved to my side and with a smile on his face placed his hand across my forehead, so that, as I bowed down it was to Baba's hand, something I could not possibly object to. He smiled at me, it was a joke to him. And so that it wouldn't be conspicuous, he did the same thing to two or three others. Nobody realized what we were thinking. It was a small incident, but a nice one to remember. After a while it becomes clear that he knows everyone's thoughts at all times, that he is working not only with everyone in his physical presence, but also with people in the distance, no telling how far around the world, all the time. This he is able to do through his universal mind. We can't understand it, but we see some little bit of it in action. We see evidences of his Universality of his complete selflessness, of his Divinity, of his Divine intention to bring us emancipation.

When we went to India, I think many of us assumed that Baba would give us some discourses. This he actually did. He gave us profound discourses; and they are priceless gems in themselves. It took us a little while to realize that, important as these discourses were to us, something of even greater importance was happening deep within us, and it had nothing to do with the discourses. It was simply the effect of being in his Presence. No explanations, meditations or other practices can compare with the value of simply being in the Presence of Baba. Some years later, at Myrtle Beach, Baba said to us, To be in the Presence of a Perfect Master for one moment is of more value than a hundred years of sincere prayers". You can believe it!

While we were with Baba, during that three weeks, gradually, not suddenly you know, I found that where was fog before, a window was there with a new vista, a door was there; - the mist had rolled back; the beauty of his love was dissolving a great many barriers. We don't understand it all We find ourselves just swimming in the beauty of his love.
