Pir Fazal Shah, a Salik of high spiritual grade, is said to be 117 years old. He is sound in body and has a Northern Punjabi accent. To while away his spiritual fervour, he began talking at random with a view to concealing his emotion. He is fond of cleaning his room wherever he stays. Hundreds respect him. At first sight, he welcomed all cordially and asked Baba alone to sit in a chair, evidently recognizing him to be the Master. Baba then entered the room alone. The Mast greeted him in a loud tone and said: "None so far touched my heart so deep. You are the first one to pierce my heart with the arrow (of Love). You have the power to rip the world and deluge it. No one knows adequately who you are. You are the Spiritual Authority of the time. If I were to die, I would take another birth to be near you! Do write to me when you get back home. I will be very restless the whole night. I shall not rest at peace until I hear from you. You may take down my address". The disciples of the Mast who, by that time, had gone near him, wrote down the address on a slip of paper and handed it to Baba.

Baba left Kotah the same night (11th October) and reached Muttra on the early morning of the 13th October.

13th October: Had two hours' sleep on the station platform and left for Kash Gunj by the morning train, reaching there by the afternoon. The train was crowded as ever. At Kash Gunj, a taxi was hired with some difficulty. The party left for Etan, 19 miles away from Kash Gunj.

(1) Nanga Bava, a 60-year old Mast, was contacted. He is naked and is genuine 'Fakir’ (ascetic) of high state. He is said to have succeeded to the spiritual post of a woman Mast who lived there before. She is no more now. Nanga Bava moves about the town freely and has no desire for food or clothing. At times he eats a little, only when offered. People have deep reverence for him. (2) Shah Saheb Makhbool Miyan Badayunwala is a Mast resident of Etan for 10 years. He met with a motor accident and hurt his leg. A Mohamedan gentleman in whose vicinity he stayed tried to treat him; whereupon he moved to another locality. He disallowed his wound to be attended to.

Returning to Kash Gunj station at night, we tried to sleep on the station platform There was too much disturbance, so we took a 2—0 a.m. train for Muttra. With the utmost difficulty, we managed to get some sitting room till we reached Muttra the next morning.

14th October: At Muttra, the following contacts were made:

(1) There is a Hindu holy man. He lives on Muttra Ghat near a ‘Dharmashala'. He is learned but has renounced everything of the world. He was seated on a heap of rubbish. He saw Baba and at once touched him. Baba does not like his feet to be touched. The Saint said: "Behold! How devoted Love attracts Lord Krishna to me! The Perfect Master has come here!" Then passing his hand beneath his seat, he pulled out a book. It was the "PERFECT MASTER" by Purdom. How on earth did he get that book was an enigma. The book was as clean as if it were kept on a book-shelf! He opened the exact picture page and emblazoned the portrait of Baba with a tribute to himself of owning the book. (2) Hafezjee is a blind Mast, semi-Salik, said to be 100 years old. He is a Vali of mediocre spiritual state. A citizen keeps him at his house and looks after him. (3) Azimkan Bava once moved about naked. Of late, he puts on Khadi* clothes, without any political significance. He told Baidul who discovered him: "Your prayers have been accepted". Baidul interrupted "My elder brother (meaning Baba) wants to see you". "No", he replied. "He is my Father, he should not come". Nevertheless Baba went to him. On approach, the Mast said, "You are Allah: You have brought forth the Creation. Once in a thousand years, you come down to see the play of Creation".

The above No. 1 and No. 3 Mast contacts were very significant.

Baba then returned to the original place (unknown) from where he had begun Mast trips. Pendu, Baidul, Eruch and Adi Sr. were sent back to their respective places.

The history of different Masts and Saints with regard to their age, confinement, austerities and psychic powers produced here may sound exaggerated. Achievements such
