And wherever I would go, day and night, I loved Baba, and Baba would keep me warm with his love, all the 24 hours of the day. When Baba was on a trip, I could not sleep at night. Baba had given me love. When he would return from his trips, we would go out for a whole kilometer to greet him. When he would come back, we would sit with him for an hour and listen to him. But I've never wanted anything from Baba.
Once Hazrat Babajan had come to Meherabad; she stopped her car at the bottom of the hill, but Baba was on the hill in the middle of the way. All the boys in the school went to have Babajan's darshan, including the older ones. Then Babajan returned. When I was a child, I was in Poona, going to school, and I would see Hazrat Babajan there. But in those days I would just think that she was a beggar-woman; I saw her with a different eye. And so I had seen Babajan when I was a child, but again when I went to Meherabad, I saw Babajan in Poona.
I've also been to Upasni Maharaj and took his darshan. Maharaj asked me to go and sit right next to him. He spoke of many things, about good omens and other things. He also said that the woman has to obey her husband, and that when a woman obeys her husband, it is like she is obeying God. This is what Upasni told all the women.
This son of mine, who is a doctor, Baba named Jehangir. He loves Baba. First he was much against Baba; he would make fun of me. All my children were like that. In the beginning they would all make fun of me; they would make a lot of trouble for me. Now they all love Baba. For example, when I was in that school, they would all call me and say bad things to me. I wouldn't say anything back. They would say so many had and contrary and negative things against Baba. Once there was a time that we had a lot of disputes with the Ba’hai about Baba, but then Baba sent a telegram that we should not do so, and we should discontinue this dispute.
Baidul first wrote me about having Baba meetings and a center in Iran, because all over the world they have Baba centers and meetings. There were four of us who first started to have Baba's meetings: Esphandiar Vasali, Khodadad Toos, Shapur Merdadi, and myself. So for two or three years, we would have the meetings at Esphandiar's house. Nobody would come, and nobody would go to the meetings. I wrote this to Baba; Baba replied: "Even if there are only two of you, that is enough. I'm there with you. I do my own work. Don't get into an argument with anyone. I don't need any propaganda from anyone, but only you should spread my message to people." And this Khodabache Mehrawin, who is now the ardent follower of Baba, was against Baba. And there were two brothers who were against Baba and were contrary to him, but now they are Baba lovers.
The first time Baba was going to America, he prepared for the trip, and Sayyed Ali was also with him. Baba would take all of us elders to himself, and he would prick our fingers with a needle. The blood would come out, and he would rub it in the palm of his own hand, and he would say: This is your signature that you have given me. (He said) that we should not smoke, we should not drink, and we should not go after other peoples' wives and daughters. We shouldn't say lies, we shouldn't cheat anybody, and we should be honest. Then we went to see them off when their boat was leaving for America.
Baba had given us orders to go back to Iran then. He told me to be with my old father and mother and with my wife and children, it was a time when he himself came to Iran. I don't quite remember if it was 1931 or before or after.* First he had come to Khorramshahr, then to Qom and Isfahan, and finally to Yazd.
Then he went to Mubarake to visit the man called Bua-Saheb or Behram Faridun, who was in Baba's ashram in Meherabad. There Bayyed Ali's uncle took a gun, put it in his shoe, and went to see Baba and to kill him. But when he got in front of Baba, he forgot completely what he had come to do. He returned to Takht, and he would send big, huge peaches for Baba.
In Yazd, many people had come to see Baba, including many of the clergymen and Muslim religious people. There were many of Baba's disciples with him also, both
