are really funny, when you are the onlooker; but when done to yourself, it's another matter!

Looking back, one sees how foolish one was not to take it all in fun, for Baba in it all was so lovable, his moods changing so fast from one to another. But through it all, Baba is strengthening the cord that binds you fast to him and his spiritual work.

Latest News of Baba

Satara, August 1.

"Today is the first of August, ending the special three months of the Beloved's seclusion . . . This morning Baba did not work with Kaikobad and that is a significant difference. Yesterday Baba washed the feet of a few poor people and gave some rupees to each. Last evening He told us of a man who had, under Baba's orders, observed silence for 14 years! Yesterday Baba asked him to break his silence, but in a unique way. He was told to say 'Paramatman' and to keep repeating that for 40 days, after which he can talk normally . . .

Bombay, September 21.

"When Baba 's Seclusion was over on August 1st, He wrote to us that He would like to give darshan to His lovers in Bombay, for a day only, in our humble home, and so to prepare for His coming on the 13th August. I cannot describe to you the joy of two days we had with Baba. I felt as if I were floating in the air and not walking on the ground. Baba was His old self again . . . before the New Life of 1949. We saw the radiance and happiness on His face after a long time. After the "New Life" phase, whenever we saw Him, we always felt more sad than happy, because He was sad and suffering immensely. On 14th August, waves of nearly 800 devotees poured in and out of our house. Like the waves of the sea coming towards the shore and going back into the sea, the waves of love of devotees poured into Baba and Baba's Infinite Love poured into them. The atmosphere created was one of love and devotion and we felt we were breathing the air of these two qualities all the time."
